About the Role

A welcoming and inclusive SEN school in the Lichfield area is seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join their team on a part‑time basis, with the opportunity to increase working days as the role develops.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Learning Support Assistant who is passionate about supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs, including autism, communication difficulties, SEMH needs, and learning delays. You will play a key role in creating a supportive, structured, and engaging learning environment where every child can thrive.


Key Responsibilities

  • Provide one‑to‑one and small‑group support to pupils with a range of SEN needs
  • Assist teaching staff in delivering adapted and accessible learning activities
  • Support pupils with communication, emotional regulation, and social development
  • Follow individual learning plans (ILPs) and personalised support strategies
  • Build positive, nurturing relationships with pupils and staff
  • Contribute to a safe, inclusive and encouraging classroom environment

About You

We would love to hear from you if you are:

  • Experienced working with children or young people, ideally in an SEN setting
  • Patient, compassionate, and confident in supporting individual learning needs
  • Able to build trust and rapport with pupils who require additional support
  • Adaptable and proactive with a positive, supportive attitude
  • Looking for part‑time work with the option to increase days when available
  • Holding (or willing to obtain) an Enhanced DBS
