Job Description

Zest Education is seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join a special educational needs school in Bedworth. This full-time role will commence in October 2024 on a long-term basis, requiring availability Monday to Friday from 8:30 to 15:30.

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will work closely with students aged 7-13 with SEMH needs, offering essential support and guidance. Your role involves fostering an inclusive and positive learning environment, ensuring all students can participate fully in activities. You will assist in creating personalised educational plans for students, both in and out of the classroom.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with individuals with special educational needs, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff. Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting children with SEMH needs are essential qualities for this role. Additionally, flexibility and adaptability to work with students displaying challenging behaviours are crucial.

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
