Level 3 Teaching Assistant

Job Description

Zest Education is currently recruiting for a dedicated and experienced Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and supportive primary school in Tamworth from September.

This is a fantastic full-time opportunity for a qualified Level 3 Teaching Assistant looking to make a positive impact across a primary school setting. The successful candidate will work closely with teachers and pupils and may provide support across all year groups, from Early Years through to Key Stage 2.

About the Role

As a Level 3 Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting teaching and learning throughout the school. Your responsibilities may vary from day to day, providing classroom support, delivering interventions, working with small groups, and assisting individual pupils to reach their full potential.

The school is looking for a flexible, enthusiastic, and proactive individual who can adapt to different age groups and learning needs while contributing positively to the wider school community.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support teaching and learning across the primary age range.
  • Deliver targeted interventions in literacy, numeracy, and other curriculum areas.
  • Work with individual pupils and small groups to support progress.
  • Assist teachers with lesson preparation and classroom organisation.
  • Promote positive behaviour and pupil engagement.
  • Support children with a range of learning abilities and needs.
  • Help create an inclusive, safe, and stimulating learning environment.
  • Build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents.

The Ideal Candidate

The successful applicant will:

  • Hold a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
  • Have previous experience working within a primary school setting.
  • Be confident supporting pupils across different year groups.
  • Have strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Be adaptable, organised, and enthusiastic.
  • Have a passion for helping children achieve their full potential.
  • Work effectively as part of a team and use their own initiative when required.
