Maths Teacher

Job Description

Are you in search of a full-time Maths position? Zest is presently in the process of recruiting a full-time Maths teacher to commence in September 2024 for a minimum duration of two terms.

The school has recently invested significantly in enhancing its infrastructure and resources. Consequently, both the physical building and the daily teaching experience have improved, enabling students to become more imaginative and engaged in the subjects they are being taught.

Ideally, the selected candidate will collaborate with the broader math department in order to design lesson plans and assess classwork. The school is seeking an individual with exceptional classroom management skills and a keen desire to actively involve students. The candidate must possess essential knowledge of key stages 3 and 4, with additional familiarity with key stage 5 being advantageous.

The successful applicant will possess the following qualifications and traits:

– A PGCE or an equivalent UK teaching certification that has provided Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills (QTLS).

– A profound enthusiasm for the field of mathematics and comprehensive subject knowledge spanning key stages 3 and 4.

– A team-oriented mindset and a desire to contribute to a collaborative environment.

– The ability to devise, assess, and deliver lessons of exceptional quality (the responsibility of planning and assessing is limited to short/long-term placements only).
