About the Role

We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our specialist SEN school in Cannock. This is a part‑time position offering flexible working days, perfect for someone looking for a rewarding role that fits around other commitments.

You will support children with a range of additional needs on a 1:1 basis or in small group settings, helping them to engage, progress and thrive within a nurturing and inclusive environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver planned learning activities in line with the school curriculum.
  • Provide tailored 1:1 support and small‑group interventions.
  • Foster positive relationships and encourage independence.
  • Support children with a variety of SEN needs including ASC, SEMH, communication challenges and learning delays.
  • Work closely with teachers and other professionals to ensure the best outcomes for each pupil.
  • Maintain a safe, structured and encouraging classroom environment.
