Part-Time Personal Welfare Assistant

Zest Education is currently recruiting a highly motivated, reliable, and professional Personal Welfare Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Cannock. This is a part-time role (Monday–Friday, 12:25pm – 3:25pm) supporting a child on a one-to-one basis in the school’s warm and nurturing Nursery setting, starting as soon as possible.

📚 The Role – Personal Welfare Assistant

The successful candidate will provide dedicated personal and welfare support to a child, ensuring their safety, well-being, and engagement in learning activities throughout the afternoon. This Personal Welfare Assistant job in Cannock is ideal for someone passionate about working with young children and supporting their development in a caring environment.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Supporting a child on a 1:1 basis in nursery.
• Assist a child in matters of personal needs and their general health, and welfare matters with specific reference to toileting and changing as required.
• Supervise and support pupils, ensuring their safety by complying with good H&S practice.
• Encourage pupils to interact with others and engage in activities led by the teacher.
• Undertake routine administrative tasks, e.g. pupil record-keeping as requested.
• Appropriate liaison with parents on general pupil matters.
