Part time TA

Job Description

Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children? Are you looking for a rewarding position? Zest Education is currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic part time TA to join a school in Bournville.

The Role:
As a TA, you will be working mornings only, from 8.45am until 12.30pm every day. Your main responsibility will be to provide one-on-one support to a child in the Y5 class. You will be required to support the TA. The role is starting asap and continuing for the rest of the academic year.

Key Responsibilities:
– Provide tailored support and guidance to the pupil, ensuring their individual needs are met
– Collaborate with the class teacher to create an inclusive and nurturing learning environment
– Assist with the implementation of individualised learning plans and strategies
– Foster a supportive and positive relationship with the child, promoting their well-being and self-esteem
– Monitor and record the pupils progress and communicate effectively with the relevant members of the team

Requirements:
– Understanding and empathy are essential qualities for this role, as you will be working closely with a child who requires additional support
– Excellent communication skills to effectively liaise with the student, their parents, and the wider school community
– Previous experience working with children with additional needs is highly desirable, as it will equip you with the necessary understanding and strategies to provide effective support
– A patient and engaging approach, with the ability to adapt your teaching style to suit the student’s learning preferences

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
