Part-Time Teaching Assistant – Balsall Heath (September Start)
Mon–Wed | EYFS Support | Child with Additional Needs
Are you a dedicated and reliable Teaching Assistant looking for a rewarding part-time role?
We are recruiting on behalf of a welcoming and vibrant primary school in the Balsall Heath area, hiring for a Part-Time Teaching Assistant to start in September 2025. This role involves working every Monday to Wednesday, supporting a child with additional needs within the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
About the Role:
Supporting a child with additional needs on a 1:1 basis
Ensuring consistency and structure in their day-to-day experience
Collaborating closely with the class teacher and wider team to deliver a supportive learning environment
Promoting independence, inclusion, and engagement in classroom activities
What We’re Looking For:
A calm, patient, and adaptable approach
A solid understanding of the EYFS curriculum
A team player who brings reliability and a strong work ethic to the classroom
Someone approachable, proactive, and committed to making a difference
About the School:
This is a large, vibrant primary school serving a diverse community with a high proportion of EAL (English as an Additional Language) pupils. The staff team is supportive and welcoming, with a strong focus on providing an inclusive education and supporting professional development.

All candidates must hold an enhanced DBS (or allow us to process one for you) and be registered to the DBS Update Service, be able to provide references to cover the last two years and successfully pass all other necessary safeguarding checks prior to clearance for work.
Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
The role advertised is for temporary supply work.
