Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC)? Zest Education is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a special educational needs (SEND) school in Nuneaton.
Your role as a Teaching Assistant will begin in October 2024 and continue on a long-term part-time basis. You will work two days a week, specifically on Mondays and Tuesdays, from 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM. The school caters to students aged 3-11 with ASC, and your previous experience supporting individuals with SEND will be invaluable in this role.
At this school, we prioritise maintaining a supportive and inclusive ethos across all areas, with the children at the heart of everything we do. As a Teaching Assistant, you will support students both on a 1:1 basis and in small groups, helping to de-escalate challenging situations when needed.
To excel in this role, you must possess a resilient attitude, the ability to build relationships with children displaying challenging behaviours, and the skills to engage pupils within lessons. Acting as a positive role model for the children, your empathetic approach towards pupils from challenging backgrounds will make a significant impact on their learning and development.

Zest Education are an REC audited agency and are dedicated to safeguarding children. All candidates must hold an enhanced DBS (or allow us to process one for you) and be registered to the DBS Update Service, be able to provide references to cover the last two years and successfully pass all other necessary safeguarding checks prior to clearance for work.
Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
