Part-time Teaching Assistant

Job Description

Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children with special educational needs? Zest Education is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to work within a renowned special educational needs school located in Tamworth.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to work closely with a nine-year-old student, providing invaluable one-on-one support. Starting in February 2025, this part-time position will continue throughout the academic year, allowing you to contribute to the student’s educational journey and personal development.

The school specialises in offering education tailored to children aged 5 to 14 with Autism (ASC) and social, emotional, and mental health difficulties (SEMH). To excel in this role, previous experience supporting individuals with SEND and a confident approach to behaviour management are essential.

As a Teaching Assistant, your primary responsibility will be to work closely with the assigned student, assisting them in various aspects of the curriculum and their day-to-day activities. Occasionally, you may also support small groups of children, requiring flexibility in your approach.

Adaptability is key in this role, as you will contribute to creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment for all students. Your expertise will empower the children to reach their full potential both academically and socially, both within and outside the classroom.

Ideally, you will have professional or personal experience in working with special educational needs. Your passion for making a positive impact on the lives of these children will drive your dedication and commitment in this fulfilling role.
