Part-time Teaching Assistant

Job Description

Zest Education are recruiting for a part-time Teaching Assistant to work in a brilliant special educational needs (SEND) school located in Stoke-on-Trent.

As a Part-time Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the educational and personal development of students aged 5-19 with Autism (ASC) and SEMH. Your main responsibilities will include providing assistance to the class teacher, implementing behaviour management strategies, and supporting students in various age groups.

To be successful in this role, you must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as a proactive and engaging attitude. Previous experience in behaviour management and working with individuals with special educational needs is essential.

This part-time position is scheduled to start in February 2024 and will continue on a long-term basis. The working hours are from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm, four days a week, which can be further discussed during the interview process.

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
