Job Description

Zest Education is recruiting an enthusiastic and dedicated Primary Teacher to take on a full‑time Year 3/4 class teacher role at a welcoming primary school in Swadlincote. This position begins in September and is ideal for a teacher who is passionate about delivering high‑quality learning and creating a positive, engaging classroom environment.

The school is well‑established within the local community and is known for its supportive leadership, inclusive ethos and strong focus on pupil wellbeing. They are looking for a teacher who can bring creativity, consistency and a child‑centred approach to their lower KS2 team.

The Role

As the Year 3/4 Class Teacher, you will:

  • Take full responsibility for planning, teaching and assessing a mixed Y3/4 class
  • Deliver engaging, differentiated lessons that support a range of learning needs
  • Create a positive, structured and inspiring classroom environment
  • Support pupils’ academic, social and emotional development
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues across KS2
  • Build strong relationships with pupils, parents and staff
  • Contribute to the wider school community and enrichment opportunities

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience teaching in KS2 (Y3/4 experience desirable)

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
