Zest Education is seeking a dedicated Primary Teacher to join a Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) in Lichfield. This full-time position, starting ASAP, offers a unique opportunity to make a lasting impact on students aged 5-11 with social, emotional, and mental health difficulties (SEMH) and challenging behaviours.
As a part of our team, you will play a crucial role in promoting independence, choice, and valuing individual uniqueness at our school. We are committed to achieving outcomes that matter most to the children and young people we care for, and we are looking for a passionate individual who shares our vision.
The ideal candidate will hold a Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills (QTLS) certification. Experience working with pupils with special educational needs or a strong interest in teaching children with diverse learning difficulties is highly desirable. You should have a proven ability to develop and implement individualised goals to address the core features of SEN, leveraging individual strengths and identified needs.
Collaboration is key at our PRU, so we are looking for someone who can work effectively as part of a team while also demonstrating leadership qualities when needed. Continuous professional development is essential to us, and we seek candidates who are dedicated to enhancing their skills and knowledge.
Strong personal organization, communication, and ICT skills are vital for this role. A track record of delivering good to outstanding practice in a similar setting will be advantageous. Zest Education are an REC audited agency and are dedicated to safeguarding children. All candidates must hold an enhanced DBS (or allow us to process one for you) and be registered to the DBS Update Service, be able to provide references to cover the last two years and successfully pass all other necessary safeguarding checks prior to clearance for work.
Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
