Psychology Teacher

Job Description

Zest Education is currently seeking a psychology teacher for a well-regarded school in Burton on Trent. The position is for a long-term supply starting in January 2025. The school ideally prefers a full-time commitment but is open to considering part-time candidates if they are the right fit for the role.

The ideal candidate should be capable of teaching across KS4 and KS5, with experience in the sociology curriculum being a bonus. The school prides itself on its success in academic achievement, which is attributed to its engaging and innovative curriculum. Students are the top priority at this school, with a focus on equipping them with the necessary tools for their future.

The successful candidate must possess a PGCE or an equivalent UK teaching qualification that grants them QTS or QTLS. A genuine passion for psychology, thorough subject knowledge across KS4 and KS5, and proficiency in classroom and behaviour management are essential. While familiarity with sociology is preferred, it is not mandatory. Additionally, the candidate should be a team player who thrives in a collaborative environment and is adept at planning and delivering high-quality lessons. Proficiency in using ICT tools in an educational setting is also expected.

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and recent school-based experience (teaching within a school teaching the British Curriculum).
