Zest Education are closely working with a secondary school in the Kings Heath area who are looking for a Science Teacher to join their school. This is a temporary full-time role starting as soon as possible.

The school is located just outside of Birmingham City Centre so it easy to access by car or public transport. They have devised an ambitious curriculum that provides a broad and balanced education for all of their students, and it has been designed to give all learners the knowledge and cultural capital they need to succeed in life.

 

The successful candidate must have:

  • A PGCE or equivalent UK teaching qualification that has awarded them QTS or QTLS
  • A great team ethos and want to be part of a strong team environment
  • A strong passion for the subject of science (Biology, Chemistry and Physics) and able to teach the curriculum across KS3-KS4
  • The ability to plan, mark and deliver high quality lessons
  • Excellent classroom and behaviour management

 

Rate of pay varies dependant on experience, ranging from £153-£211 a day.

Both newly qualified teachers (NQT) / Early careers teachers (ECT) and experienced teachers will be equally considered for this role.

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years, teaching within a school teaching the British Curriculum).
