Job Description

Are you a passionate and dedicated Secondary Teacher with experience in Special Educational Needs? If so, Zest Education is looking for a full-time SEN Teacher to join our team a special educational school in Nuneaton.

Starting in October 2024 on a long-term basis, this role involves working with students aged 11-18 with Autism (ASC) and associated learning needs. As an SEN Teacher, you will play a crucial role in providing extra support and tailored learning programs to help these students achieve their full educational potential.

 

 Key Responsibilities:

– Identify individual student needs and adapt teaching methods accordingly

– Create a safe, stimulating, and supportive learning environment

– Teach either individuals or small groups within or outside the classroom

– Prepare engaging lessons and resources

– Mark and assess student work

 

 Requirements:

– Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

– Experience working with students with SEN, particularly Autism and associated learning needs

– Strong communication and interpersonal skills

– Ability to differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning styles

– Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for helping students with special needs succeed

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
