Zest Education is seeking a dedicated and experienced SENCO to join a special educational needs school in Lichfield. This full-time position is available for an immediate start and will run through the academic year with potential for a permanent role for the right candidate.

The school caters to students aged 4-18 with social, emotional, and mental health difficulties (SEMH). We are looking for a qualified individual with a NASENCO award or equivalent qualification in SEND needs to fill this crucial role.

Responsibilities include identifying and assessing the specific needs of students, working closely with teachers, parents, and external agencies to create tailored Individual Education Plans. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing and monitoring these plans to ensure students receive the necessary support and interventions.

As the SENCO, you will provide guidance and support to teachers, staff, and parents on effective strategies and interventions for students with special needs. Your role will be pivotal in ensuring that every student with special educational needs at our school has the opportunity to reach their full potential.

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
