Zest is currently seeking a passionate and dedicated SEND Learning Support Assistant to on behalf of a SEND School supporting primary-aged students with Autism and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs in a school located in Moseley.

As a Full-Time Learning Support Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing individualised support to primary-aged students with Autism and SEMH needs. You will work closely with classroom teachers and other support staff to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment where every student can thrive.

SEND Learning Support Assistant Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-to-one and small group support to students with Autism and SEMH needs, both in and out of the classroom.
  • Assist with the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) to meet the specific needs of each student.
  • Support students with their academic and social development, promoting independence and self-confidence.
  • Help to create a safe and nurturing learning environment that fosters positive relationships and respect for diversity.
  • Collaborate effectively with classroom teachers, SENCOs, and other support staff to ensure a coordinated approach to student support.

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
