SEND Teaching Assistant

Zest Education is looking for a patient, dedicated, and enthusiastic SEND Teaching Assistant to support pupils with additional needs in a warm and welcoming school environment. This role is perfect for someone who genuinely enjoys helping children overcome challenges, build confidence, and feel fully included in the classroom. What You’ll Be Doing:

• Providing 1:1 and small‑group support for pupils with SEND
• Assisting with personalised learning plans and targeted interventions
• Supporting pupils with communication, emotional regulation, and engagement
• Working closely with teachers, the SENCO, and wider support staff
• Encouraging independence and celebrating progress
• Helping create a calm, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment

What We’re Looking For:

• Experience working with children or young people
• SEND or care experience is highly desirable
• A calm, patient, and adaptable approach
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
