SEND Teaching Assistant – Full Time

This vibrant primary school prides itself on creating a nurturing and engaging learning environment where every child is encouraged to achieve their full potential. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), helping them access the curriculum, develop confidence, and thrive both academically and socially.

The Role

• Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEND
• Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons
• Support pupils with a range of additional needs, including autism, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and learning needs
• Encourage positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing
• Help create a safe, supportive, and stimulating learning environment
• Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and other support staff

Requirements

• Previous experience working with children in a school setting
• Experience supporting children with SEND is essential
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• A patient, caring, and adaptable approach
• A genuine passion for supporting children’s learning and development
• Relevant qualifications are desirable but not essential
