Zest Education is seeking a compassionate and committed SEND Teaching Assistant to support children with Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD) at a warm and highly specialised SEND school in Telford. Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:30am–3:30pm

💼 About the Role

As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will support pupils with PMLD, complex learning needs, and medical requirements. Your role will include:

  • Supporting pupils with PMLD and complex educational or medical needs
  • Working collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and support staff
  • Providing personal care when required
  • Using sensory‑based learning approaches tailored to individual needs
  • Maintaining a safe, inclusive, and nurturing classroom environment
  • Working full‑time: Monday–Friday, 8:30am–3:30pm
  • Starting after February half term and continuing for the academic year
  • Opportunity for a permanent contract for the right candidate

  • Hold an enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or be willing for us to process one)
  • Provide references covering the last two years
  • Successfully complete all safeguarding checks prior to starting
  • Have recent (within 5 years) school‑based experience in a British Curriculum setting or relevant care‑based experience

Salary is based on experience, training, and qualifications.
