Location: Shrewsbury, Shropshire
Contract: Full-time / Part-time

About the Role

Zest Education is seeking enthusiastic and motivated Sports Coaches to support a range of secondary schools in Shrewsbury and the surrounding Shropshire areas. If you’re passionate about inspiring young people through sport and physical activity, this role offers a fantastic opportunity to make a real impact across multiple school communities.

We partner with several secondary schools in and around Shrewsbury who are looking for reliable, energetic, and confident Sports Coaches. With immediate vacancies available, now is the perfect time to join our team and build valuable school‑based experience.

Responsibilities

As a Sports Coach, you will:

  • Deliver enjoyable, inclusive, and engaging PE lessons and sports sessions for KS3 and KS4 students
  • Build positive relationships with pupils and staff
  • Support PE teachers with lesson delivery, session setup, assessments, and extracurricular clubs
  • Lead groups, promoting teamwork, positive behaviour, and a safe environment where all students can succeed

What We’re Looking For

We welcome applicants who can demonstrate:

  • Experience in Sports Coaching, PE teaching, or a related sport or youth‑work field
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • A relevant coaching qualification (Level 2 preferred)
  • Experience working with children or young people in school, coaching, or community settings
  • An Enhanced DBS, or willingness to apply for one
