Job Description

Zest Education are recruiting for a Supply Teacher to join our team, and work in various primary schools in Staffordshire and surrounding areas on a day-to-day supply basis. Working for Zest Education gives you the opportunity to only work the days you want to work in the schools you want to work at – giving you a great work/life balance. We are currently working with schools in Staffordshire including the areas of Lichfield, Tamworth, Burntwood, Cannock, Rugeley and Stafford. The Primary schools we work with offer onsite parking.

The Role

As this is a day-to-day supply teacher role, you will not be expected to plan lessons however you will be expected to:

  • Create a positive learning environment
  • Work alongside the teaching assistant
  • Effectively manage the behaviour of pupils
  • Deliver pre planned lessons, in an engaging and creative way to your class

To apply for this Supply Teacher role you will need:

  • Experience in teaching in either Key Stage 1 (KS1) or Key Stage 2 (KS2)
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and Early Career Teachers (ECTs) are encouraged to apply
  • Excellent behaviour and classroom management skills
  • A strong school reference from your recent employer

All candidates must hold an enhanced DBS (or allow us to process one for you) and be registered to the DBS Update Service, be able to provide references to cover the last two years and successfully pass all other necessary safeguarding checks prior to clearance for work.

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.

The role advertised is for temporary supply work.
