Teacher

Job Description

Zest Education is currently seeking a dedicated and passionate teacher to join our team at a special educational needs school in Telford. This full-time position is set to commence in January 2025 on a long-term basis.

As a teacher at our school, you will be working with students aged 5-11 who have moderate learning difficulties (MLD), severe learning difficulties (SLD), autism spectrum condition (ASC), and profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD). We are looking for a candidate who holds a valid Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and has experience teaching SEND within a UK curriculum setting.

 

 Responsibilities:

– Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and effective lessons tailored to meet the diverse needs of our students.

– Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student engagement and achievement.

– Assess and monitor student progress, offering feedback and support to help them achieve their full potential.

– Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement innovative teaching strategies and resources.

– Maintain regular communication with parents and guardians to update them on their child’s progress and address any concerns.

 

 Requirements:

– Valid Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent qualification.

– Proven experience teaching students with special educational needs.

– In-depth knowledge of the National Curriculum and effective teaching practices.

– Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.

– Dedication to continuous professional development and a commitment to keeping abreast of educational best practices.

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
