Teacher of Geography

Job Description

Zest Education are seeking an experienced Teacher of Geography to join a secondary school in the Dudley area. This is a full-time role where planning and marking of KS3 and KS4 lessons are required. The role is due to commence in May 2025 and will run for a minimum of one term, with possibility of further extension.

Responsibilities:

– Teaching Geography up to Key Stage 4 level
– Planning and delivering engaging lessons
– Assessing students’ work and providing constructive feedback
– Marking students’ assignments and exams
– Collaborating with colleagues to enhance the Geography curriculum
– Participating in staff meetings and professional development opportunities

Qualifications:

– Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
– Degree in Geography or a related field
– Strong subject knowledge and passion for Geography
– Experience teaching Geography at secondary level

Skills:

– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
– Ability to engage and motivate students
– Strong organisational skills for lesson planning and marking
– Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced school environment
– Commitment to continuous professional development
