Maths Teacher

Job Description

Zest Education are proud to be working alongside a secondary school in Wolverhampton to recruit a part time (0.6) Maths teacher to start February 2025. The role is for at least one half term with the likelihood for it to be extended should the school decide it is necessary.

The school is centrally located and easily accessible by public transport, it does also offer onsite parking for those that travel in by car. The school is achieving well academically with 90% of students achieving a 6 or above at GCSE. Recently rated ‘Good’ in their last Ofsted inspection, the school is a busy secondary that caters for a wide range of students from diverse backgrounds.

The successful candidate will be joining the Maths department as an important member of the team. The successful candidate will have excellent knowledge up to KS5 as Maths is a popular subject taken up at A level.

The successful applicant will have:

  1. A PGCE or equivalent UK teaching qualification that has awarded them QTS or QTLS
  2. A strong passion for the subject of Drama and excellent subject knowledge across KS4 and KS5
  3. A team ethos and want to be part of a strong team environment
  4. The ability to plan, mark and deliver high quality lessons (planning and marking only for short/long term placements).
  5. Strong classroom and behaviour management
  6. Creative and innovative teaching methods, the ability to motivate students
