Zest Education are seeking an exceptional Teacher of Modern Foreign Languages (MFL) to join an Outstanding secondary school in the Kings Heath area. The language department is highly successful and the school are looking for a passionate and dedicated individual who is both French and Spanish speaking. This is a full time role where planning and marking is involved. The role is due to commence in February 2024 and will run until the end of the academic year.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in MFL education, with a proven track record of delivering excellent results. You will deliver engaging and challenging lessons that inspire our students to develop their language skills and foster a love for French and Spanish.

Key responsibilities:

– Delivering high-quality MFL lessons to students across KS3, KS4, and KS5
– Planning and preparing engaging and challenging lessons that cater to different learning styles
– Assessing and monitoring student progress, providing timely and constructive feedback
– Collaborating with the MFL department to develop and implement effective teaching strategies
– Organising and participating in extracurricular activities such as language clubs, trips, and cultural events


– Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
– Fluent in both French and Spanish
– Experience teaching MFL at secondary level, including KS4 and KS5
– Strong subject knowledge and understanding of the MFL curriculum
– Ability to inspire and motivate students to achieve their full potential
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
