Job Description

Zest Education are seeking a dedicated Science Teacher to join a fantastic secondary school in the Harborne area. This is a full-time role where planning and marking will be required. The role is due to commence in September 2024, and has the potential to run for the full academic year.

As a Science Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality lessons to students, fostering their curiosity and passion for science. You will be expected to create engaging lesson plans, assess student progress, and provide valuable feedback.

The school is situated in a fantastic location, providing an ideal environment for teaching and learning. The school offers modern facilities and resources to support your teaching.

In addition, the school is part of a Multi-Academy Trust, which allows for collaboration and professional development opportunities with colleagues across the Trust.

Successful candidates will have:
  • A PGCE or equivalent UK teaching qualification that has awarded them QTS or QTLS
  • A strong enthusiasm for the subject of Science and the ability to plan and deliver high quality lessons
  • Excellent knowledge of the KS3 to KS5 curriculum
  • A team ethos and the ability to build strong and professional relationships with both colleagues and pupils
  • Experience in classroom and behaviour management

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
