Teaching Assistant

Job Description

Location: Northfield, Birmingham (B31)

We are looking for a committed teaching assistant to join a supportive SEND environment.

About the Role

  • Provide tailored support for pupils with MSI, ASD, PMLD, PD, and SLD.
  • Work with pupils individually or in small groups to boost engagement.
  • Adapt classroom resources to improve sensory access and communication.
  • Assist with personal‑care routines while promoting independence.
  • Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and healthcare teams on IEP‑driven interventions.

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience supporting SEND pupils in school or care settings.
  • A patient, calm, and adaptable approach.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Qualifications such as CACHE, NVQ, or TA Level 2/3 are helpful.
  • A desire to grow and develop as a teaching assistant.
