About the Role

Zest Education is looking for enthusiastic, motivated, and dedicated Teaching Assistants (TAs) to support a range of secondary schools across Wolverhampton. Whether you’re an experienced TA or someone eager to begin a rewarding career in education, this role offers a fantastic opportunity to make a genuine difference in the classroom.

Schools across Wolverhampton have immediate vacancies, as well as ongoing requirements throughout the academic year. This means you can enjoy flexibility while also securing consistent work. TAs play a vital role in supporting teaching and learning — helping pupils grow in confidence, stay engaged, and achieve their full potential. Typical hours are Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm.

What You Will Do

As a Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Support pupil participation and keep students engaged during lessons
  • Help pupils develop independence, confidence, and essential learning skills
  • Prepare and organise resources, supporting students in using them effectively
  • Work 1:1, with small groups, and across multiple year groups depending on need

What We’re Looking For

We are seeking individuals who are:

  • Confident, friendly, and approachable
  • Adaptable across different subjects and age groups
  • Able to build strong, supportive relationships with pupils and staff
  • Motivated, proactive, and passionate about helping young people succeed

To be considered, you must have:

  • 🎓 NVQ Level 2 (or above) in a relevant subject
    OR
  • 📅 A minimum of 20 days’ experience working with children or young adults within the last two years
