Are you passionate about education and looking for a rewarding career opportunity as a teaching assistant? Zest Education is delighted to announce a wonderful opportunity to join a lovely school in Sutton Coldfield as a full-time teaching assistant. This exciting role is set to commence in September 2024 and will run for a minimum of 2 terms, with the potential for a permanent position for the right candidate. The role will involve working across KS1 and KS2 as a general teaching assistant.
The school, which has recently received an ‘outstanding’ rating from Ofsted, boasts a warm and supportive environment, along with a dedicated team of hardworking, enthusiastic, and friendly staff. As a teaching assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the students’ learning journey and contribute to their overall development.
Key Responsibilities:
– Collaborate closely with teachers to plan and deliver engaging lessons
– Provide one-on-one support to students, ensuring their individual needs are met
– Assist with classroom management and maintaining a positive learning environment
– Support students with their social and emotional well-being
– Contribute to the school’s extracurricular activities and events
Requirements:
– Previous experience as a teaching assistant or related role
– Strong communication and interpersonal skills
– A genuine passion for working with children and supporting their educational growth
– Patience, empathy, and the ability to build positive relationships with students
– Flexibility and adaptability to meet the varying needs of the students
– Relevant qualifications in education or child development (desirable)
The pay for this role will range from £75 to £85 a day dependent on references and experience.

Zest Education are an REC audited agency and are dedicated to safeguarding children. All candidates must hold an enhanced DBS (or allow us to process one for you) and be registered to the DBS Update Service, be able to provide references to cover the last two years and successfully pass all other necessary safeguarding checks prior to clearance for work.
Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
