Job Title: Year 1 1:1 Teaching Assistant (Supporting a Child with ASD)
We are looking for a Teaching Assistant to provide dedicated 1:1 support for a Year 1 pupil with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). This is an excellent opportunity for a compassionate and motivated Teaching Assistant who is passionate about inclusion and helping every child reach their potential. Role is full time (08:30-16:00), starting ASAP until July 2026 initially.
As a 1:1 Teaching Assistant, you will:
Support the child’s learning, communication, and social development
Adapt activities and resources to meet individual needs
Encourage independence and positive behaviour
Work closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and external professionals
Record progress and contribute to planning and review meetings
Foster a calm, nurturing, and consistent learning environment
Experience working with children with ASD or additional needs is highly desirable.

We are looking for a Teaching Assistant who:
Has experience supporting children with ASD or additional needs
Demonstrates patience, empathy, and excellent communication skills
Works effectively as part of a team
Understands how to motivate and engage young learners
Holds a relevant Teaching Assistant qualification (desirable)
