Are you passionate about making a positive impact in the lives of children with special educational needs? Zest Education is currently seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our team at a special educational school in Coventry. This part-time role is set to commence in October 2024, requiring you to work 4 days a week from 8:30 to 15:30. For the right candidate, there is a potential for this position to become permanent.
The school specialises in providing education for children aged 5-14 with Autism (ASC) and social, emotional, and mental health difficulties (SEMH). To excel in this role, the ideal candidate should possess experience in Behaviour Management or have completed Team Teach Training. Working alongside a committed team, you will contribute to creating a safe and supportive environment that nurtures the growth and development of all children.
As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supervising and supporting children with special educational needs. Collaborating closely with the class teacher and other TAs, you will assist in monitoring individual progress and fostering independence in students. Your encouragement and support will empower children to lead healthy and fulfilling lives.
We are looking for an adaptable, engaging, and approachable individual who values safeguarding and prioritises the wellbeing of all children. While experience in Behaviour Management or Team Teach is desirable, a genuine passion for supporting children with special educational needs is essential.

All candidates must hold an enhanced DBS (or allow us to process one for you) and be registered to the DBS Update Service, be able to provide references to cover the last two years and successfully pass all other necessary safeguarding checks prior to clearance for work.
Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
