Teaching Assistant

Job Description

Zest Education are recruiting for a Teaching Assistant to join a ‘Good’ primary school in Willesden. The role is full time until July 2026 initially (hours 08:30-16:00pm).

About the role:
The successful candidate will support children with autism in the schools on site ASD provision. Previous experience of working with children with SEN is essential. Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting pupils in the ASD provision with their learning, behaviour, and social development

  • Assisting with behaviour management, ensuring a positive and inclusive learning environment

  • Teaching Assistant will support one-to-one and in small groups

  • Monitoring and recording pupil progress and communicating with the SEN lead and teaching staff

  • Maintaining high standards of safety, safeguarding and care in line with school policy

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
