Zest Education are currently recruiting Teaching Assistants to join a primary school in Burntwood. You will be working across year groups of EYFS – KS2.

It is essential that you have experience working as a Teaching Assistant to apply for this role. The school enjoys a very good relationship with parents, families, associated professionals and the local community. Job Title: Teaching Assistant

Location: Burntwood, Staffordshire

Pay: £80-85 / day

Contract: Monday to Friday – Term Time Only

Working Hours: 34 hours per week, Monday to Friday, term time only, 8.30am to 3.45pm with 30 minutes lunch break.

Duties to include (but are not limited to)

  • Provide clerical/administrative support to the assigned teacher, e.g. photocopying, typing, filing and record keeping
  • Assist with the planning and delivery of individual education plans (or other pupil-specific plans)
  • Monitor and evaluate pupils’ progress and maintain pupil records
  • Use specialist knowledge or experience to support pupils’ learning
  • Liaise with parents, carers, and professional staff in order to promote the learning objectives of each pupil
  • Use initiative to develop and implement actions that will promote the integration of the pupil with his/her peers

Candidate qualities and experience:

  • Be able to adapt your communication style and be able to develop skills to suit the needs of the children and young people you are working with
  • Able to work supportively as a team member and confidentially when working independently
  • Able to understand, interpret and deliver effective education and care and support plans based on a need led approach
  • Have recent proven experience working within a primary school.

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
