Job Description

Location: Kings Heath, Birmingham
Start Date: September 2025
Hours: 8:20am – 3:50pm, Monday to Friday
Contract: Full-time, Full Academic Year
Qualification Required: NVQ Level 3 or above

We are working on behalf of a fantastic Infant School in the Kings Heath area to recruit a dedicated and proactive 1:1 Teaching Assistant to join their team from September 2025 for the full academic year.

This is a varied and rewarding full-time role that would suit a confident and committed individual with a passion for supporting young learners and contributing to a positive school environment.

Role Overview:

  • Morning: 1:1 support with a nursery-aged child, providing both educational assistance and personal care
  • Afternoon: Classroom-based support across the school, delivering small group interventions in core subjects
  • Support class teachers with resource preparation, display work, and maintaining a safe and organised learning environment

The Ideal Candidate Will:

  • Hold a minimum NVQ Level 3 qualification (or equivalent) in a relevant childcare subject
  • Be available for the full academic year and committed to the full-time hours
  • Be confident, proactive, and adaptable, with a strong work ethic
  • Have experience working with EYFS and/or Key Stage 1 children, including delivering small group work and providing personal care
