Teaching Assistant – Secondary School – Wolverhampton
Start Date: September 2025
Contract: One Term (with the potential to extend for the full academic year)
Location: Wolverhampton
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience

Are you passionate about supporting young people in education? Zest Education is currently recruiting for a Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant and inclusive secondary school in Wolverhampton. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the classroom and make a real difference in students’ lives.

The Role:

This Teaching Assistant position is due to start in September 2025 and will initially run for one term, with a strong possibility of extension to the full academic year. You will be supporting students aged 11-16 across a range of subjects, working closely with teaching staff to provide tailored academic and pastoral support.

Responsibilities:

  • Supporting individual students or small groups with their learning

  • Assisting the classroom teacher in the preparation and delivery of lessons

  • Promoting positive behaviour and engagement within the classroom

  • Helping to create a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment

About You:

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has a genuine interest in working with young people

  • Is patient, reliable, and approachable

  • Can work effectively as part of a team

  • Has strong communication and interpersonal skills

Experience working with children or young people, particularly in an educational setting, is desirable but not essential. Graduates considering a career in teaching are also encouraged to apply.
