A vibrant and supportive special educational needs school in Perry Common, Birmingham is looking to recruit a full-time teaching assistant to join the team in September 2025. This role offers a unique opportunity to support pupils with a variety of additional learning needs in a school that values individual progress and inclusive education.
The role of the teaching assistant will involve working closely with pupils on a one-to-one basis, as well as supporting small groups within the classroom. You will assist with the delivery of learning activities, help manage behaviour positively, and contribute to creating a calm and purposeful learning environment.
We are looking for a teaching assistant who is compassionate, energetic, and committed to helping every child reach their full potential. An understanding of special educational needs is important, and experience working in a similar setting would be an advantage, though training and support will be provided for the right candidate.
As a teaching assistant, you will be part of a collaborative team that works closely with families, therapists, and external agencies to provide consistent, high-quality support tailored to individual needs. The ability to remain patient and flexible while maintaining high expectations is key to success in this role.

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
