Zest Education is proud to be working with a busy special educational needs school in Lichfield that have 2 Teaching Assistant positions available. The positions are full time & part time and due to start in September. The positions are due to begin September 2022 with the view to becoming permanent.

The school itself caters for children from the age of eleven to nineteen with a wide range of educational difficulties from moderate to severe and complex needs; some of our pupils have additional physical, sensory, and autistic conditions. The successful candidate must have previous experience supporting individuals with SEND or in a similar environment.

This school provides a broad range of flexible learning opportunities to meet all of the students’ individual needs in an outstanding and stimulating environment. This setting nurtures and challenges our pupils to achieve their potential whatever their starting point.

The role will require you to quickly build engaging relationships with small groups of children, and you will need to work closely as a team with the class teacher and other teaching assistants.

The role:

  • You must be passionate about working with students with special educational needs and have previous experience of working in a special school or similar environment
  • You will be working with the students on a 1:1 basis and in small groups so it is important that you have a flexible approach
  • You will be joining a committed and skilled team of caring staff who do all they can to support the students and help them to learn and to achieve their individual potential
