About the Role

Zest Education is recruiting enthusiastic and dedicated Teaching Assistants to work within a variety of secondary schools across Nuneaton and the wider Warwickshire  area.

This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are passionate about supporting young people in education. Whether you have previous classroom experience or have worked with children through coaching, tutoring, youth work, mentoring, care, or voluntary roles, we would love to hear from you.

We work closely with a number of welcoming and supportive secondary schools in and around Nuneaton, many of which are looking to appoint reliable Teaching Assistants from September. These roles offer the chance to make a real difference to students’ learning and wellbeing.

What You Will Do

As a Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Support students in lessons, helping them to engage with learning activities
  • Work alongside teachers to deliver effective classroom support
  • Provide one-to-one and small group interventions where required
  • Encourage student confidence, independence, and participation
  • Assist with behaviour management and maintaining a positive learning environment
  • Support students with varying learning needs and abilities
  • Contribute to the wider school community and daily classroom routines

What We’re Looking For

We welcome applicants who have:

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • A genuine passion for supporting children and young people
  • Good literacy and numeracy skills
  • The ability to build positive relationships with students and staff
  • Patience, empathy, and a proactive approach
  • Previous experience working with children or young people (desirable, not essential)

To be considered, you must have at least 20 days of experience working with children or young people within the last 5 years, or be a recent graduate with relevant transferable skills.
