Teaching Assistant, Nuneaton.

Zest Education is exclusively working with a very well-respected special educational needs school in the Nuneaton area. This school is looking for a Teaching assistant to start in September 2022 on a full-time basis for the full academic year.

The school itself caters for children from the age of five to twelve with Autism (ASC) and social, emotional, and mental health difficulties (SEMH). The successful candidate must have previous experience working with special educational needs or in a similar setting.

This school is committed to providing a safe, caring, and engaging environment which ensures that all pupils are able to access high quality learning opportunities that cater for their individual needs and interests.

The successful candidate will be required to work with the students 1:1 and in small groups, under the direction of the class teacher, introducing tasks, monitoring student’s work, and using a range of strategies to support their learning.

The role:

  • You must have previous experience working with special educational needs or in a similar setting
  • Promote and encourage independence and personal development in students and maintain high expectations of behaviour at all times
  • You will be confident, enthusiastic and be able to identify and engage with different learning needs
