Teaching Assistant – June 2025 Start
Location: North West London
Salary: £25,675 – £26,068 per annum (FTE)
Contract Type: Temporary to Permanent (via agency initially)
Zest Education London is proud to be working with a high-achieving and inclusive secondary school in North West London to recruit a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to start in June 2025.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about supporting young people with additional needs. The role will initially be offered through the agency on a temporary basis, with the potential for a permanent contract following a successful probation period.
This is a large, forward-thinking secondary school serving a richly diverse and vibrant community. The school is nationally recognised for its commitment to inclusion, equality of opportunity, and outstanding outcomes for all students, particularly those with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).

As a Teaching Assistant, you will:
Support students aged 11 to 16 with a range of learning difficulties, including those with EHCPs
Work closely with teachers and the SEND team to ensure all students can access the curriculum
Provide one-to-one and small group support, both in and out of the classroom
Assist with implementing individual support plans and tracking student progress
Contribute to a safe, respectful, and inclusive learning environment
Experience working with young people, particularly those with special educational needs (school or youth work background desirable)
A calm, patient, and resilient approach
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
A genuine passion for supporting the learning and development of all students
A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
Competitive salary (£25,675 – £26,068 FTE)

Zest Education are an APSCo audited agency and are dedicated to safeguarding children. All candidates must hold an enhanced DBS (or allow us to process one for you) and be registered to the DBS Update Service, be able to provide references to cover the last two years and successfully pass all other necessary safeguarding checks prior to clearance for work.
Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
The role advertised is for temporary supply work.
