Job Description

Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of young students? We are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join the team at a secondary school in Telford. This is a full-time position starting from January 2025, with the likelihood of being extended for the rest of the academic year.

As a Teaching Assistant, you will be working closely with students aged 11-18, providing 1-1 support to help them reach their full potential. Your main responsibilities will include assisting the classroom teacher in delivering engaging lessons, supporting students with their academic work, and promoting positive behaviour management.

We are looking for someone with excellent behaviour management skills, who can create a supportive and inclusive learning environment for students. Your patience, empathy, and ability to build strong rapport with students will be key in helping them overcome challenges and succeed academically.

This position also offers opportunities for professional development, allowing you to enhance your skills and knowledge in the field of education. You will have access to training programs and workshops that will further equip you with the tools necessary to support our students effectively.

To be eligible for this role, you should possess a relevant qualification, such as a Level 3 Teaching Assistant Certificate or equivalent experience. Experience working with secondary school students is highly desirable.

If you are a team player, dedicated to making a positive impact on the lives of young people, we would love to hear from you. Please submit your application, including a detailed CV and a cover letter outlining your relevant experience and why you are interested in this position.

Join our passionate team of educators and contribute to the growth and development of our students. Together, we can empower them to reach their full potential and prepare them for a successful future.
