Teaching Assistant – SEND

Zest Education is looking for a committed SEND Teaching Assistant to support a welcoming primary school in Coleshill on a full‑time, long‑term basis. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about helping pupils with additional needs access learning and feel confident in the classroom.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide tailored 1:1 and small‑group support for pupils with SEND.
• Assist the class teacher with daily classroom routines and learning activities.
• Deliver targeted interventions to support academic and emotional development.
• Encourage positive behaviour, engagement, and independence.
• Work closely with the SENCO and wider school team to ensure consistent support.
• Contribute to a nurturing, inclusive, and safe learning environment.

Candidate Requirements:

• SEND experience within a school setting is essential.
• A patient, calm, and supportive approach when working with pupils.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships.
• A proactive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team.
• A relevant TA qualification (Level 2/3) is highly desirable.

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
