Upper Key Stage 2 Teacher

Job Description

Are you a qualified teaching looking for a flexible part time role in the new academic year? Or are you a recently qualified ECT looking to kick start your career, if so listen up!

Zest has the privilege of working an inclusive primary school in the Small Heath area who are looking for a upper key stage 2 teacher to work on a part time basis from January 2024. The role will involve working 4 days a week and the successful candidate will ideally have experience with SAT’s. However, all candidates will receive full support. The role will continue until the end of the summer term.

The three-form entry primary is at the heart of the diverse community where they believe all children no matter their background has the right to achieve their full potential. The school has an excellent team of staff who work effectively as a team to provide all children with the best possible education. All staff at the school share a common vision and are committed to ensuring all pupils are exposed to a knowledge rich curriculum to prepare them for the fast-changing world.

To be considered for this role you must:

  • Hold a valid QTS.
  • Have strong communication skills.
  • Be confident teaching in KS2.
  • Be able to build professional relationships with staff and pupils.
  • Strive as part of a team.
  • Liaise and communicate with colleagues to ensure that lessons are appropriately planned and delivered.
  • Take responsibility for promoting and safe guarding the welfare of children within the school.
  • Manage the class effectively, using approaches which are appropriate to pupils needs in order to inspire, motivate and challenge pupils!

The role will involve working alongside the other KS2 teachers to prepare all lessons and resources. You will also be required to complete all marking and assessments.

The pay for this role will start from £130 a day dependent on references and experience.

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and recent school-based experience (teaching within a school teaching the British Curriculum).
