Just qualified from university as an ECT and looking to get more teaching experience? Every ECT needs a supportive school for the start of their teaching journey and Zest is working with a school that can provide just that.

The school, which is located in the heart of Small Heath, are looking for a motivated year 3 Early Career Teacher to join them from June 2024 for the rest of the academic year.

The ‘Good’ Ofsted rated school is fully inclusive and is at the heart of the community. Their strong team of teaching and support staff ensure all children who require it get extra support to ensure they are making good progress. The pastoral team do all they can to support the social, emotional and mental health of both children and staff.

The role will involve the successful candidate preparing high quality lessons and teaching materials that inspire and provoke curiosity. You will mark and use assessment for learning to inform future lessons and talk to parents and carers about their children’s progress. As you will have a full-time teaching assistant in your class, you will be expected to manage and deploy the work of the support staff to ensure they are being used effectively.

Pay will range from £130 – £150 based on references and experience.
