Zest Education is recruiting for a full-time, experienced Year 3 Teacher to join a welcoming primary school in Burton. Starting in the new year, this is a full-class teaching role that is ongoing for the academic year. The school is rated Good by Ofsted and has a strong commitment to pupil progress and inclusion, though behaviour can sometimes be challenging, requiring a confident and resilient teacher.

📚 About the Role

  • Deliver engaging and structured lessons to a Year 3 class in line with the national curriculum
  • Plan, prepare, and assess learning to support pupil progress and attainment
  • Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and carers to support children’s academic and personal development
  • Monitor and manage behaviour effectively, maintaining high expectations in line with school policies
  • Inspire pupils through practical, hands-on learning experiences that foster a love of learning

✅ Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential
  • Proven experience teaching Year 3 in a primary school setting
  • Strong subject knowledge across the KS2 curriculum
  • Ability to deliver whole-class teaching and adapt to individual learning needs
  • Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
  • Resilience, patience, and enthusiasm for supporting young learners
