Zest Education is seeking an enthusiastic Part-Time Year 5 Teacher for a job share role at a highly regarded junior school in the Hall Green area of Birmingham. This long-term teaching position runs from January 2026 and is likely to continue until the end of the academic year working three days a week (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday).
The Role:
As a valued member of the Year 5 teaching team, you’ll share responsibility for delivering engaging, purposeful lessons that inspire pupils to achieve their best. Planning is provided, but you’ll have the flexibility to adapt and personalise lessons to suit the needs of your learners.
The ideal candidate will be a reliable, consistent, and committed teacher who thrives in a collaborative environment and values continuity within a job share arrangement.
Key Details:
Part-time: 3 days per week – Tuesday, Wednesday & Friday
Year 5 class within a supportive, well-resourced junior school
Planning provided, with scope to adapt for pupil needs
Long-term contract: September 2025 – February 2026
Location: Hall Green, easily accessible from Birmingham city centre

Requirements:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Experience teaching Key Stage 2 (Year 5 experience preferred)
Confidence in adapting planning and maintaining consistency in a job share
Strong behaviour management and excellent communication skills
