Year 6 Supply Teacher 

Location: Brownhills, Walsall
Start Date: ASAP
Contract: Full-time, ongoing until the end of the academic year
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm


About the Role

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Year 6 Supply Teacher to join a friendly and supportive primary school in Brownhills. This is a full-time teaching role starting as soon as possible, and will continue for the remainder of the academic year.

As the Year 6 class teacher, you will take full responsibility for planning, delivering, and assessing engaging lessons that inspire pupils and prepare them for their transition to secondary school. You will work alongside an experienced support team and leadership staff who are committed to providing a positive learning environment for all children.


Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver creative, high-quality lessons in line with the National Curriculum.

  • Prepare pupils for SATs and ensure progress across all core subjects.

  • Maintain a positive classroom environment that encourages learning and respect.

  • Work collaboratively with teaching assistants and support staff.

  • Uphold the school’s behaviour and safeguarding policies.


Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential.

  • Experience teaching in Upper Key Stage 2 (KS2), ideally Year 6.

  • Strong classroom management skills and high expectations of pupil behaviour.

  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.

  • A passion for teaching and helping every child achieve their full potential.
