Zest Education, in partnership with a wonderful school in Burton on Trent, is currently seeking a dedicated and passionate Year 6 Teaching Assistant to join their team. This is a full-time position available as soon as possible on an ongoing basis.
The school is well-known for its village atmosphere, providing a warm and friendly environment for both students and staff. They pride themselves on their caring and supportive partnerships, ensuring that every individual feels included and valued.
As a Year 6 Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the classroom teacher and helping students to achieve their full potential. Your responsibilities will include assisting with lesson planning, delivering small group interventions, and providing one-on-one support to students who may require additional help.
The ideal candidate will have a genuine passion for education and a desire to make a positive impact on the lives of young learners. Previous experience working with Year 6 students is highly desirable, as well as a good understanding of the national curriculum.
Key Qualifications and Skills:
– Relevant experience as a Teaching Assistant, particularly in Year 6
– Knowledge of the national curriculum and assessment procedures
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
– Ability to work effectively as part of a team
– Strong organizational and time management skills

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
